March 2017 LIFE

LIFE (Local Intervention Fire Education) offers 14 to 17 year olds the opportunity to learn a range of skills while working alongside the Brigade.

The programme is an intensive four day course where young people learn the job of a firefighter.

During the week beginning 13th March 2017, 3 Year 9 & 3 Year 10 students represented BTA Hayes in the four day programme at Lee Fire Station, learning new skills and being able to demonstrate them throughout the programme.

We are proud of how well both the Year 9s and Year 10s represented the school and how highly they were praised during their time with the London Fire Brigade especially as one of the Y10s won the Jack Petchey Award as voted for by their peers.
