This year, our Year 11 students completed a course with the Chartered Management Institute, gaining a level 2 qualification (equivalent to a GCSE) in an Introduction to Team Leading. The course was a fantastic opportunity for students to gain a team leading qualification in just three days. This can now be can be added to their CV and is recognised by a range of different companies and areas of the public sector, such as the Royal Air Force and the NHS.
To pass and gain the qualification, students had to complete a 3000 word assignment, followed by a spoken presentation summarising what they had learnt. Whilst the course was quite demanding and challenging, every student who took part passed, taking an enormous amount of pride in their work and demonstrating their ability to persevere and succeed.
The course was delivered by an external agency, whose feedback about our students was overwhelmingly positive, as they praised not only our students' keenness to work hard and do well, but also their respectfulness and dedication to their learning. Everyone who took part in the course did BTAH proud and we are looking forward to running the CMI course again next year.
