Ethos Statement
Vision and Values

At Bromley Trust Academy we believe in securing the best from all and inclusion and cohesion are at the heart of our ethos at Midfield Campus. We aim to raise standards by promoting a school ethos which is underpinned by core values that support the development of the child as a reflective pupil and we strive to ensure that everything we do has a positive impact on our pupils.

We are proud of our record in promoting equality of opportunity for all. We try to create a happy, secure and stimulating learning environment in which all members of the school community can grow in confidence and develop their full potential. In addition to high levels of achievement for all groups of pupils, success is also demonstrated with the reintegration of our pupils into mainstream education.

We live our lives by the maxim that we ‘Decide’ our own futures. The letters Decide stand for:

Discovery – every moment, everyday is an opportunity to learn or discover something new.
Endeavour - to try our hardest and have the determination to face challenges.
Community - believing in our communities and taking care of everyone.
Independence – becoming independent pupils.
Decisions- making sensible choices and knowing that we are responsible for them.
Everyday – aspiring to these values everyday.

By focusing on our ethos and values we will prepare our pupils for a life in modern day Britain, where they have the opportunity to go to university, to secure jobs, to be leaders in our community and to live a happy family life.

Vision and Values

The Academy provides education and support for pupils who are at risk of being, or have been, permanently excluded from primary schools. It works with pupils to identify and remove barriers to learning in order that where possible they can return to a mainstream school or to access specialist school settings.

Academy staff are dedicated, caring professionals who provide unconditional support and positively challenge pupils to be the best they can be. Staff set about to use their experience, passion, commitment and everything in their power to ensure that children can flourish, feel safe, feel good about themselves and to ensure they have every opportunity to learn socially and academically.
